Monitoring Tsunami Threat from Taiwan Earthquake. There is possibility of hazardous conditions for some coasts. The latest information (issued 5:10PM PDT) says it is “analyzing the event” for impact on our area.

My feeling is that while we should be vigilant, the size of the earthquake (less than 8) and distance/location suggests this is unlikely to cause a major concern in our immediate area.
