The #CRTC just released an enormous decision, granting almost $300 million to the Government of #Nunavut to build a 1,300-kilometre fibre connection to Iqaluit and three other remote Inuit communities in Nunavut. This has the potential to be truly transformative for those communities.
However, there is a notable dissent from Claire Anderson, the Commissioner for the BC and Yukon region, raising concerns about consultations with Inuit stakeholders.
