Google has released software updates to Chrome to address a zero-day vulnerability. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2024-0519, and exists in the V8 JavaScript engine. When exploited, an attacker can gain access to sensitive data. Google says it has observed active exploitation of the vulnerability in the wild. Users are advised to patch ASAP once the update is available.
