A view of a rough forest path on a bright autumn afternoon. A muddy path snakes its way away from the viewer and into the trees; mature trees populate the space on either side of the track, and pale leaves have fallen and accumulated across the red-brown forest floor. In the foreground, a large puddle has formed across the path, and reflected in its still surface we see blue sky, the tops of leafless trees, and other trees yet to shed their leaves. The afternoon sun is shining through the trees at an angle, falling across the path and creating stripes of warm light and shadow
