can you give us some insight into why mastodon maintainers
1. are observed to act against legitimate criticism of a genocidal war criminal apartheid state
2. are not observed to act against those who promote extremist zionism
To be clear, I'm not asking why admins act - I'm asking why they seem to only act in one direction.
And to be clear - I'm not asking to stick an elbow in admins, I'm asking to better understand why this happens.

@FishNamedDog@mastodon.social@dbattistella First of all, antisemitic tropes dehumanize people of Jewish ethnicity or religion (unless you want to commit to the Nazis not utilizing them - their hate drew on religion but in theory would have classified a Pope as Jewish if he had one Jewish grandparent).
Second of all, more importantly: you may "strongly disagree", but many Jews (including me), who you'd assume know what antisemitism is best, think it is.

We've been going to bat for you for many months now, fielding and fighting off 48 reports against your account over this time and time again. (No other member here has anywhere near as many reports, and many are retaliatory and were actioned as such)
I honestly feel that your post—while it is your prerogative—is disingenuous about the stance our instance has taken from day one.

Just because people complain doesn't means the target of the complaints is in the wrong.
Don't let that be a metric for deciding who is in the wrong.
Maybe you should keep a score of who makes these complaints and if they are not upheld, they are penalised?

@dbattistella That happened to me on my first instance. I appealed and won, but felt less safe and changed to a new instance. Second instance did similar and couldn't bother appealing so just switched instances. Sometimes Mod's have a humour bypass or generally don't understand points made, often in a historiacal context, but I'd rather have real mods rather than a bot doing it.
