The seat previously held by the Conservative Premier of #Manitoba has been won by the NDP.
"Absolutely incredible that the Manitoba NDP has taken Tuxedo! What an endorsement of the work Premier #WabKinew and team has done so far - communicating what they stand for and then getting the job done on behalf of people." #mbpoli #CDNPOLI #winnipeg
Keeping my fingers crossed!
I think that’s “gaining”, not “holding”…
@gemelliz Absolutely great result. This is a huge win especially in Manitoba right now.
Having a Registered Nurse voted into the very riding that disgraced former Premier Stephanson held is a slapping down of her dismantling of the MB healthcare system.
The fact that Carla Compton beat out zionist lawyer Lawrence Pinksky is just icing.
@wandrecanada "This is what's possible when you don’t split the vote. Vote for the party which has the best chance of beating the conservative candidate."
@gemelliz For the curious, Lawrence Pinsky’s campaign statement. He lost with this: https://www.pclawrencepinsky.com/
@pinhman Looks like Tuxedo didn't fall for the Conservatives tired old slogans. "Cut Taxes" & "Get Tough On Crime"
@gemelliz Both Stefanson & Gary Filmon held this riding as premiers of Manitoba. The NDP win in Tuxedo is significant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuxedo_(electoral_district)
@gemelliz
This is excellent news. (Gives me hope for us.)
@gemelliz 2 previous Premiers!
@gemelliz this is great news. Thank you for following it.
@nelsonshine You're very welcome; its a pleasure to share some hopeful news. Go #Manitoba!
@gemelliz I gag a little now when progressive and conservative are in the same sentence.
