I finally found a family doctor for my husband and myself, I hope. We have a "meet and greet" with the nurse practitioner in 3 weeks. the 1st available appointment. The doctor is working part time in our area and works in two others.
I suppose we will still have to rely on the ER if my husband abruptly falls ill as seniors often do....and if the ER is closed?!!
#DougFord is literally neglecting healthcare and is responsible for the illnesses, disability and perhaps death of some.
good news! Hopefully, the family doctor interview - appointment works out. Feel as seniors we often have to "sell ourselves" to get the practice to take us on. #HighNeeds

I hope it's good news. I am hoping that once she sees I am proactive in monitoring his health and care, diet, exercise etc...that it will work out. He has so many health issues.
@Snowshadow I'm sorry, Snow. The Ford govt has blithely swept aside so many of us at a stage when we need healthcare most. And it will only get worse if PP is elected.

Indeed Ford has swept aside those whose healthcare needs are many, seniors, disabled, children and those needing mental healthcare including **burned out healthcare workers** !!
I agree, with a federal conservative government it will get worse. Much worse!!
@gemelliz Healthcare, education, financial support for autistic children, and so many other social benefits have been under budgeted and even starved by the #DoFo government. But gambling, booze, is available on every street corner and every iPhone and iPad. Because those are the things that really matter to Doug Ford. His government is the most corrupt in the history of Canada.

Addictions make it harder to challenge the government. So long as someone is out looking for their fix, they aren't chasing down their MP, demanding answers.
@TanekRune @CanadianCrone You can chase down your provincial MPP all you want. They'll just slam the door in your face. They don't give a flying fig for what Ontario wants or needs.

@CanadianCrone @gemelliz @TanekRune W.A.C. Bennet begs to differ on the corruption front. Then there's Grant Devine's SK conservatives. Plus, the province of NB, which is owned by the Irving Family. Ford is more of a return to Canadian baseline corruption.

@gemelliz @TanekRune I’m certain you are absolutely correct. We have only scratched the surface of the level and depth of corruption in the #DougFord government
No he budgets for those thing properly (except for autistic kids, he hates them), but when it comes time to spend the money, he doesn't to the tune of billions of dollars.

I will never understand how MPP Lisa MacLeod was voted back in after she crushed so many autistic children and their families.

I also don't understand why Ford hasn't kicked her from caucus. She keeps make drunk tweets on twitter, accusing middle eastern foods of being antisemitic, among other vile tweets. I don't understand why Ghamari's out, but she's still in.
